Abstract:
To provide a gear pump or a gear motor capable of suppressing leakage of a working fluid from a high pressure side to a low pressure side.SOLUTION: A gear pump (1) has: a driving gear and a driven gear of helical gears; a housing (20) having a spectacle hole (24), a suction passage (25) and a discharge passage (26); a first side plate disposed in the spectacle hole (24); a second-side plate disposed in the spectacle hole (24); a 3-shaped first gasket (50); and a 3-shaped second gasket. Phases of one ends in slide-contact with the first side plate, of tooth tips of the driving gear and the driven gear are advanced toward a rotating direction with respect to the other ends in slide-contact with the second side plate, of tooth tips of the driving gear and the driven gear, the first gasket (50) has end portions (50a, 50b) opposed to an inner peripheral surface of the spectacle hole (24), and a circumferential length of the end portions (50a, 50b) of the first gasket (50) is determined to one pitch or more of tooth tip circles of the driving gear and the driven gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
