Abstract:
To solve a problem of damaging a seal as it receives high pressure when a gear reversely rotates on a circumscribing gear pump.
No contact region is formed between addendum circle tracks 7b, 8b of the gears 7, 8 and an inner peripheral surface 18 of a cavity 1 as a thinned part 19 is provided even when the gears 7, 8 at the time of reverse rotation are pushed to the side of a discharge port 17 which in lowered pressure (refer to drawing 6 (b)). It is possible to prevent pressure rise to do damage to the seal only by providing the thinned part 19.
