To provide a gear pump which can reduce the pulsation of discharge.
A piston 40 repeats the reciprocation according to the turning angle of a cam 32. As a result, the volume of a discharge port 27 is varied. The cam curve of the cam 32 is formed such that when the discharge flow rate in the entrance 27a of the discharge port 27 of the gear pump is maximum, the piston 40 moves between the upper dead point and the lower dead point in a cylinder bore from the upper dead point toward the lower dead point, and when the discharge flow rate in the entrance 27a of the discharge port is minimum, the piston 40 moves between the upper dead point and the lower dead point from the lower dead point toward the upper dead point. As a result, the discharge flow rate in the exit 27b of the discharge port is kept to be nearly constant by varying the discharge flow rate in the discharge port 27 by the reciprocating motion of the piston 40.
