Abstract:
To provide a gear rolling tool that can prevent damage to a processing tooth, resulting from a load acting on the processing tooth of a rolling die.SOLUTION: An external recess 36 that has a shape corresponding to a processing tooth 21 of a rolling die 2 and into which the processing tooth 21 fits is provided on each of side plates 3 disposed on both sides, in a direction along a rotation axis, of the rolling die 2. A space S for holding a lubricant is provided between a projection downstream-side wall surface 25 located on a downstream-side, in a rotating direction, of the processing tooth 21 and a recess downstream-side wall surface 37 of the external recess 36 opposite to, on a downstream side in the rotating direction, the projection downstream-side wall surface 25. A projection upstream-side wall surface 26 located on an upstream-side, in the rotation direction, of the processing tooth 21 and a recess upstream-side wall surface 38 of the external recess 36 opposite to, in the rotating direction, the projection upstream-side wall surface 26 are brought into contact with each other.
