Title:
GEAR SHIFT CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3456399
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set strength of engine braking force for vehicle in response to expectation of a driver in addition to the road condition and the traveling condition by providing an engine brake correcting means for changing characteristic of an engine brake at the time of opening an acceleration pedal in response to a result of a detection by an environment recognizing means.
SOLUTION: A CVT controller 2 decides a target change gear ratio, and while corrects the control time constant so as to obtain the engine braking force determined by a decelerating force determining device 3, and controls so that a change gear ratio of a continuous transmission 1 coincides with the target change gear ratio. The decelerating force determining device 3 detects the traveling condition such as car speed VSP, open degree of acceleration pedal ACS, and results of detection by various sensors such as a navigating device 7, a road information receiver device 8, an awakening degree sensor 9, an individual information input device 10, a luminous sensor 27, a raining/ snowing sensor 30, and detects the driving condition and the traveling environment, and computes an indication for correcting the target shift ratio so as to obtain the engine braking force expected by a driver.
