Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the soft feeling with a gear shift lever of a car by fitting a lower lever into an upper lever for said shift lever via a vibration proof rubber containing circular projections. CONSTITUTION:A lower lever 3 is put fixedly into an upper lever 1 via an approximately cylindrical vibration proof rubber 5 containing circular projections 5a-5d on its outer circumference surface. Thus both levers 1 and 3 are elastically connected to each other. In such a constitution, the operating power applied to the lever 1 is first transmitted to the lever 3 via the projections 5b and 5c only. As a result, the extremely soft operating feeling is secured. When the larger power is applied to the lever 1, an inside wall surface 1a of the lever 1 touches the projections 5a and 5d positioned at the upper and lower end parts of the rubber 5. Thus both projections 5a and 5d function as stoppers to prevent the extreme bend of the rubber 5 and therefore no excessive load is applied to the rubber 5. Thus both the durability and the rigidity are increased for the rubber 5.
