To accurately control movement of a shift block and also form a gear shifting device with a simple structure, at a low cost and in a smaller size without requiring dimension control of the shift block.
A perpendicular part to be biassed 46b of a projected shift block 46 is biassed by a first or a second biassing part 43d or 43e of a shifter 43, and the shift block 46 moves in a connection position of a shift speed. A shift fork 40 provided on a horizontal guide part 46a of the shift block 46 sets a transmission to the corresponding shift speed. In this case, the first biassing part 43d rotates clockwise to the shifter 43 to bias the perpendicular part to be biassed 46b. Thus, the shift block 46 moves in one connection position on the left side. Further, the second biassing part 43e rotates counterclockwise to the shifter 43 to bias the perpendicular part to be biassed 46b. Thus, the shift block 46 moves in another connection position on the right side.
