Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear support structure of a cam gear train mechanism of a motor cycle, which improves wear resistance at contact portions between a crankcase, a cylinder and a cylinder head, and thrust washers without deteriorating the productivity.SOLUTION: In a gear support structure, a housing part 61 for housing a cam gear train mechanism 41 is integrally comparted in a crankcase 48, a cylinder 49 and a cylinder head 43. The cam gear train mechanism 41 comprises plural gears 65 meshed with each other, plural gear shafts 66 rotatably supporting the gears 65, thrust washers 79 each inserted onto the gear shaft 66 and supporting the gear 65 in the axial direction of the gear shaft 66 between the gear 65 and any of the crankcase 48, the cylinder 49 and the cylinder head 43. In the thrust washer 79, the inner diameter of the end 84 at any side of the crankcase 48, the cylinder 49 and the cylinder head 43 is smaller than that of the end 83 on a gear 65 side.
