Abstract:
To provide a gear for a cam shaft driving mechanism capable of reducing rattling sound.SOLUTION: A gear G used for a cam shaft driving mechanism of an internal combustion engine is provided. The gear includes: a teeth portion 11 disposed on an outer peripheral portion; a boss portion 10 disposed at a center portion; a coupling portion 12 which couples the teeth portion and a boss portion; a plurality of first lightening holes 31 provided at a first radial direction position R1 of the coupling portion; and a plurality of second lightening holes 32 provided at a second radial direction position R2 on the inner side than the first radial direction position at the coupling portion. The first lightening holes and the second lightening holes are disposed in a zigzag shape so as to make a path of wall thickness from the teeth portion to the boss portion become a meandering state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
