To provide a gel composition having excellent adhesion, without requiring complicated treatment, nor a composition of high cost, nor causing trouble in an electric contact point, to provide a coating agent, and to provide a sealing method.

This gel composition contains (A) a crosslinkable silyl-containing organic polymer, (B) at least one kind of organic compound selected from a liquid organic compound expressed by general formula (1) (M1is a residue given by eliminating a hydroxy group from a monool or a polyol, when n≥1 and m=1, and M1is a residue given by eliminating hydroxy groups from a polyol, when m≥2; R1is an alkylene of which the side chain may be substituted by an ether; and X is H or glycidyl) and another liquid organic compound expressed by general formula (2) (M2is a residue given by eliminating a hydroxy group from a monool or a dihydric or polyhydric alcohol, when m=1, and M1is a residue given by eliminating hydroxy groups from a dihydric or polyhydric alcohol, when m≥2), and (C) a curing catalyst for the component (A).
