To provide a gel composition that has excellent usability, excellent heating effect, massage effect and make-up-eliminating effect, is useful as a cosmetic for cleansing, pack and massage, is excellently safe, has excellent spread on the skin and sense of use free from greasiness after washing off.

The gel composition is obtained by formulating (a) 0.1-5 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from acylpeptide and its salt with (b) 0.5-10 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from amphoteric surfactants, (c) 10-80 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from polyhydric alcohols containing three or more hydroxy groups in the molecule and (d) 19-89 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from liquid oils.
