Title:
GEL HAVING HIGH DIELECTRIC CONSTANT AND CONTAINING RARE EARTH ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001220138
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a new light-emitting material having an emission intensity equal to or higher than that of a conventional fluoride glass light-emitting material or an alkaline earth borate glass light-emitting material, and to provide a method for producing that material at low temperature and at low cost.
A dry gel having a high dielectric constant consists of nanocrystal barium titanate prepared by adding 0.1 to 10 at.% rare earth elements and partially crystallizing the resultant barium titanium. The light- emitting material is synthesized by a sol-gel method which uses a metal alkoxide, where a gel is produced and aged at low temperatures.
