In a gel high-molecular solid electrolyte battery comprising a positive electrode of lithium cobalt oxide, a negative electrode of carbon where a negative electrode activation substance layer mainly of a carbon material, that can absorb and emit lithium ions, is formed on a surface of a current collector body of the negative electrode, and a gel high-molecular solid electrolyte, a mixed density of lithium cobalt oxide in the positive electrode activation substance layer is from 2.35 to 3.2 grams per cubic centimeters, a thickness of the positive electrode activation substance layer is set from 37 to 97.8 micron meters, a mixed density of the carbon materials in the negative electrode activation substance is from 0.86 to 1.70 grams per cubic centimeters, and the thickness of the negative electrode activation substance layer is set from 35 to 92 micron meters.
