Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption inhibitor capable of imparting an excellent water absorption-inhibiting property to a surface of a porous material.SOLUTION: A gel-like composition contains (A) 100 pts.mass of an organoalkoxysilane represented by formula (1) RSi(OR)(each Ris independently a C1-20 monovalent hydrocarbon group; each Ris independently a C1-8 monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a is an integer of 1-3) and/or a partially hydrolyzed condensate of the organoalkoxysilane, (B) 0.3-20 pts.mass of an aluminum dicarboxylate represented by formula (2) (RCOO)Al(OH) (each Ris independently a C1-25 monovalent hydrocarbon group), and (C) 0.3-20 pts.mass of a C6-24 fatty acid.
