Abstract:
To provide a novel gel material having chelating capacity and capable of suitably being utilized for various uses.
A gel material is obtained by swelling a carboxylic acid polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer component containing a carboxylic acid monomer represented by formula (3) [wherein Y is a hydrogen atom, an aryl group or a (CHR3)c-W2-(CHR4)dCOOH group, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-6C alkyl group, W1 and W2 are respectively independently an NH-group, an S-group or an O-group and a, b, c and d are respectively independently an integer of 0-6 by a dispersing medium.
