Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled gel excellent in separating ability, pressure resistance, treatment capacity, etc., comprising a crosslinked polymer containing a specified 2,3-dihydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate or 2,3-dihydroxypropyl (meth)allyl ether.

CONSTITUTION: A gel for separation comprising a crosslinked polymer consisting of at least 50wt% repeating units of 2,3-dihydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate or 2,3-dihydroxypropyl (meth)allyl ether and having a particle diameter ≥10μ and a gel water content of 30W150%. To a column packed with this gel, 30% or below, based on the gel capacity, rhodanate-containing detoxicating solution is fed to catch the effective component, and an eluant (e.g., methanol) is fed to the column at a rate of 0.5W5cm/min (in terms of a superficial linear velocity of the column) to elute an effective component such as inorganic sulfur oxy-acid salts and rhodanates.
