To provide a gelatinous fuel composition generating decreased ill odor and black smoke in combustion and having improved safety such as the visibility of the flame and the suppressed flame height.
This gelatinous fuel composition contains 10-80 wt.% gel-form keeping composition (preferably a gelatinous silicone polymer) and 90-20 wt.% petroleum fraction having an aromatic content of ≤5 vol.% and difference between 10% distillation temperature and 90% distillation temperature of ≤10°C. The obtained fuel composition does not generate ill odor and black smoke in combustion and has high safety comprising the visibility of flame and suppressed flame height and, accordingly, it is especially useful as a gelatinous fuel to be attached to the surface of firewood and charcoal to improve its ignitionability.
