PURPOSE: To prepare grease for ball bearing, having excellent lubricity at low temperature or high temperature, by adding specific amounts of an α-olefin, a specific gelling agent, and a gelling assistant to grease, and gelling the composition with heat.

CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 30W70% of a grease on the market, (B) 50W70% of α-olefins containing ≥50% of 18W30C olefin, (C) 0.3W 10% of a gelling agent comprising dibenzylidene sorbitol, (D) 10W25% (including solvent) of a gelling assistant comprising a thermoplastic synthetic resin, pref. vinyl acetate/ethylene resin, linear polyolefin resin, etc., and (E) small amounts of heat stabilizer, antioxidant, etc., is gelled by heating to afford the objective gelled grease.

USE: Application to the ball bearings of the handle steering, pedals, hangers, etc. of a bicycle or a motor bicycle.
