Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a DNA containing a phosphoenol pyruvate phosphomutase gene, etc., coding a specific amino acid sequence and useful for improving the productivity of fosfomycin.
CONSTITUTION: This DNA contains a phosphoenol pyruvate phosphomutase gene expressed by the 247th to the 1224th base sequence in the base sequence of table 2 and coding the amino acid sequence expressed by table 1 or a gene having the same action as the above gene. Fosfomycin is preferably produced by using a gene cluster containing the fosfomycin biosynthesis relating gene and a plasmid containing the gene cluster.
