To provide a highly reliable general carburetor in which sealing performance at a joining surface between the bottom surface of a metal carburetor body and the flat surface of a resin spacer, and the holding strength of the spacer is increased.
In this general carburetor, the resin spacer 3 with a flange 2 is installed in a metal fuel container 1. The metal carburetor body 5 is tightened to the top surface of the fuel container 1 with a gasket 4 interposed therebetween. The spacer 3 is held by the carburetor 5 and the fuel container 1. A fuel passage 13 is formed of a recessed groove 12 at the bottom surface of the carburetor body 5 and the top surface of the gasket 4. A peak-like projection 14 disposed in the same manner as in the case of the recessed groove 12 at the bottom surface of the carburetor body 5 and peripheral profiles of various holes 15 are formed on the top surface of the flange 2 of the spacer 3.
