PURPOSE: To attain access in optional language by performing the communication of processing the data base of a host computer, loading of a data base processing program, and creation of a telegraphic message, in subroutines of a personal computer.
CONSTITUTION: An application program 2a of the personal computer 2 sends a log-on message through a subroutine 2b to start the communication and data base processing program 1b of the host computer 1. Then, a data base processing measage is sent to the communication and data base processing program 1b through the subroutine 2b. The communication and data base processing program 1b refers to and updates the data base 1a on the basis of the message received from the personal computer 2. When the data base 1a is referred to, its contents are sent back as an answer message to the personal computer 2.
