PURPOSE: To obtain a clock pulse generator enabled to compensate temperature without temperature control by calculating the frequency ratio between an oscillation output from an oscillation element with low temperature change and an oscillation output from an oscillation element with high temperature change as temperature information.
CONSTITUTION: Oscillation outputs from oscillation circuits 4, 6 corresponding to the oscillation elements 1, 2 having high and low temperature changes respectively in the same environment are processed by a gate circuit 5, a frequency dividing circuit 7, and a gate circuit 8 actuated in accordance with a control circuit 9 generating a high level control output for a fixed period and a counting circuit 10 determines the frquency ratio (m) of both oscillation outputs. The ratio (m) is outputted as temperature information and used for the temperature compensation of a reference clock from the circuit 4. Therefore, a practically highly accurate clock pulse generator enabled to compensate temperature without temperature control using a thermostatic oven is obtained.
