Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a faster processing speed, by setting the shifting direction of picture elements by 45 deg. to an orthogonal system, and equalizing the width of slanting lines of an edged pattern to that of a longitudinal and lateral line and beveling corner parts. CONSTITUTION:An original picture pattern 20 is shifted in the direction of 135 deg. and ORed with a pattern before the shifting to obtain a primary shift pattern. Then, the primary shift pattern is shifted in the direction of 45 deg. and ORed with the last pattern to obtain a secondary pattern. Similarly, the secondary pattern is shifted the direction of 315 deg. and ORed with the last pattern to obtain a tertiary pattern, which is further shifted in the direction of 225 deg. and ORed with the last data to obtain a quadratic shift pattern. Then, the original picture pattern 20 is removd from the quadratic shift pattern to obtain an edged pattern 30. This method equalizes the width (n) of a slanting line 31 of the pattern 30 to a longitudinal and lateral line 32. Further, corner parts 33 of the pattern 30 are beveled. Thus, the processing speed of the formation of the edge pattern with the prescribed width is increased.
