Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the labor and time for test data generation by editing corresponding items of a record extracted from a master file as items of a data format extracted from a table. CONSTITUTION:Each parameter of a control statement 1 is checked and when no error is detected, the parameter of this kind is used to retrieve a data format table 7, so that data formats corresponding to the parameter of the kind are extracted from the table 7. Then the number of generated data is set to zero and the number of specified data of the control statement 1 is compared with the number of generated data. When the number of specified data is a master file 8 is detected and extracted. When an extracted subscriber record is proper, corresponding items of the extracted subscriber record are extracted as respective items of the extracted data format, so that indicated test data is edited in record units.
