Title:
GENERATING METHOD AND UPDATING METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC MAP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3492185
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generating method and updating method for electronic maps which can generate the electronic maps of all domestic areas, enable a user to easily discriminate house names by arranging the house names to maximum sizes according to individual house frame sizes, and update graphic information and attribute information independently and asynchronously.
SOLUTION: After distortion correction, respective image figures obtained by reading survey results 7 of country basic figures, city plan figures, road ledger figures, etc., through a scanner device 8 are put one over another successively by converting their coordinate values into a common coordinate system 12. The ground object with the highest precision is selected out of common ground objects among the survey results, difference ground objects are added, and border drawings are successively connected to generate image maps and vector maps in an electronic map geographic information file 15. This geographic information file 15 makes it possible to update graphic information and attribute information independently and asynchronously by generating link information consisting of coordinate information and generation day/time information on the information by using the attribute information as key information so as to specify the positions of the graphic information.
