Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for generation and encoding/decoding of a sub-codebook of an error control encoding codebook suitable to non-coherent detection by a detector of a receiver of a data communication system.SOLUTION: A codebook G is initially empty, and in a step 202, a code word p is selected and added to the code book G. In a step 204, a self-correlation amplitude of the code word p is calculated and in a step 206, correlation amplitudes between the code word p and respective code words of the codebook p are calculated. In a step 208, the code word is deleted from the P if the correlation amplitude is equal to the self-correlation amplitude. The steps 202 to 208 are repeated until all code words are deleted from the codebook P so as to secure that each code word of the codebook G has a self-correlation amplitude higher than the correlation amplitude.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
