Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide generator for vehicle and a control method therefor where as full driving force performance as in mechanical 4WD is ensured over a wide driving range with respect to those with their wheels driven by motors.
SOLUTION: The generator for vehicle driving gears is provided with a first generator, that is driven by the internal combustion engine of a vehicle and supplies the electrical loads of the vehicle with electric power and a motor that drives the front or rear wheels of the vehicle other than those driven by the internal combustion engine. The generator is further provided with a second generator, that is driven by the internal combustion engine and drives the motor and a controller that controls the second generator and the motor. The controller controls the output of the second generator according to the required driving force for the vehicle, and the motor has its driving force adjusted by the output of the second generator.
