PURPOSE: To reduce the dispersion of mist density control by generating mist by moving either a heater or liquid level of a container in the up-and-down direction, and soaking the heater in a liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The mist is generated by heating the liquid 2 in the container 1 locally. The liquid 2 is fed to the container 1 and a ceramic heater 3 for soldering iron whose temperature is adjusted at the one over the boiling temperature of the liquid 2 is connected to the rod of a cylinder 4 via members 5, 6. The heater 3 is soaked in the liquid 2 by moving in the up-and-down direction with the cylinder 4, and the liquid 2 is heated locally by the heater 3, which generates the mist. At this time, since the temperature of the heater 3, the stroke of the cylinder 4, and a cycle time in movement in the up-and-down direction are set at fixed values, the generated amount of mist can be fixed. Also, since the heater 3 is not brought into contact with the liquid 2 when the temperature of the heater 3 is increased, no mist can be generated. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the increment/decrement of the amount of mist for the turning on/off of the cylinder 4 from being delayed.
