PURPOSE: To provide a generator capable of easily starting by reducing operation force for rotation required for starting.
CONSTITUTION: When an inertial ring 10 is operated for rotation, a block 13 is held at a position separated from a cut-out portion 9b of a rotating ring 9 by the spring force of a tensile coil spring 14 at an initial stage, and the inertial ring 10 runs idle relative to the rotating ring 9; when the rotating speed of the inertial ring 10 exceeds a predetermined speed, the block 13 is linked to the cut-out portion 9b of the rotating ring 9 by its centrifugal force against the spring force of tensile coil spring 14, by which the rotation operating force of the inertial ring 10 and the inertial force of the inertial ring 10 are transmitted as a rotating force of the inertial ring 10 to the rotating ring 9. This rotating force acts as a rotating force of the rotor through the rotating ring 9 and then the rotor is rotated.
