Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geographic information system for evaluation of a freight transport actual condition which facilitates understanding of a transport actual condition, and properly evaluates it.SOLUTION: A geographic information system for evaluation of a freight transport actual condition is configured so that: for evaluating an actual condition of freight transport, transport track record data, freight time table, and railway route data are used for maintaining spatial data of railway freight transport; then a loading rate of freight and a container occupancy from an initial station to a terminal station of a freight train, are measured; then, the distributions of the loading rate and container occupancy of the train are displayed on the railway route on the map.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
