Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gesture discrimination device which suppresses an erroneous discrimination of a hand returning action as a hand removing action, without increasing an operation load.SOLUTION: A gesture discrimination device 1 comprises: a camera 3 for periodically imaging a hand 9 of an operator; and a control unit 5 by which, when a moving amount calculated based on multiple picked-up images in the case where the hand is moved in one direction is greater than a moving amount threshold value 50 and a moving speed is higher than a first speed threshold value 51, it is discriminated that a hand removing gesture is performed and operation information Scorresponding to the hand removing gesture is outputted. After the discrimination is made, the control unit sets a second speed threshold value 52 greater than the first speed threshold value 51 and discriminates the hand removing gesture while switching the first speed threshold value 51 to the second speed threshold value 52 for a predetermined period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
