Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to accurately recognize the attitude of a hand in real time even if a user wears short-sleeved clothing.
SOLUTION: Images of the hand photographed by cameras 101L and 101R are binarized by binarization parts 102L and 102R respectively, distance conversion parts 104L and 103R generate distance converted images from the binarized images, and projection parts 104L and 104R generate projection images from the binarized images. Maximum point detection part 105L and 105R detect maximum points of the distance converted images and determine the centers of gravity according to them. Minimum point detection parts 106L and 106R detect minimum points of the projection images and the position of the hand is determined according to them.
