To provide a getting on and off stage of an elevator capable of remarkably reducing equipment cost by enabling passengers to easily get on and off and materials to be easily loaded on and unloaded from a building such as a ship.
In this getting on and off stage device of the elevator, a carrier 6 and a getting on and off stage 9 for persons and cargos are installed in a tower 4 vertically installed adjacent to the ship 1. The device comprises a guide rail 7 installed on the tower 4 in the vertical direction, the getting on and off stage 9 carrying a guide roller 12 and a drive mechanism 19 guided by the guide rail 7 and lifted along the tower 4 by the drive mechanism 19, a follow-up arm 32 vertically rotatably pivoted on the getting on and off stage 9 and vertically rotated according to the height different of the upper surface part of the getting on and off stage 9 from the upper surface part of the ship 1, and a controller maintaining, roughly constant, the height difference of the upper surface part of the getting on and off stage 9 from the upper surface part of the ship 1.
