PURPOSE: To regulate relative conversion between members by performing accurate rotation of a rotation amount necessary to regulation of a rotation regulation member through prevention of the occurrence of a backlash.
CONSTITUTION: A rotation amount regulating device comprises a drive motor 34 having a reduction gear 33; a socket 36 engaged with a cam bolt for rotational drive; a torque transducer 37; a control part 39; and a drive unit 41. The transducer 37, the control part 39, the drive unit 41, and the drive motor 34 are interconnected, in order. A given value exceeding torque under the presence of the backlash of the socket 36 is set to monitor torque when the motor 34 is driven. A point of time when the torque exceeds a given value is set as the origin of a rotation amount and the rotation amount is corrected to zero.
