To provide a glare shielding film which keeps a protective layer capable of demonstrating curability, abrasion resistance, hardness, adhesiveness, transparency, etc., and additionally a superior glare shielding effect overlying the surface of a transparent film made of a cycloolefin resin.
In the glare shielding film, a particle-containing protective layer overlies the surface of the transparent film made of a cycloolefin resin. The protective layer is obtained by photocuring a protective layer forming composition containing an active energy ray curable composition [containing (A) 40-60 wt.% of a polyfunctional monomer having a surface tension of 37 mN/m or below and at least three acryloyl groups, (B) 10-60 wt.% of a polymer obtained by bringing acrylic acid addition reaction with a glycidyl (meth)acrylate polymer, and (C) optionally 0-50 wt.% of another acrylic oligomer] and particles with a mean particle size of 50-600 nm. The glare shielding film has a maximum height surface roughness Ry of 1.0-3.2 m and an image clarity of at least 5%.
