PURPOSE: To aim at enhancing the safety of a conveying device, by locating the rotary center of a rotary means at a part corresponding to the center of the plate width of a glass substrate, and by arranging the rotary means such that it sucks up the surface of the glass substrate which is the same as the surface sucked by a delivery means.
CONSTITUTION: When a glass substrate 11 is introduced from a production line, a sucker rod 28 on an elevating plate 27 in the delivery side and a sucker 10 on a rotary arm 7 on the receiving side suck up and hold the rear surface as a joint surface of the glass substrate 11 in order to deliver the substrate. Further, a rotary center shaft is located at a part corresponding to the center of the width of a glass plate to reverse the surfaces of the glass substrate 11, and further, the glass substrate 11 which is held on the rotary arm 7 is shifted onto a rotary table 30 in a jointing device 32. As a result, the structure of the conveying section may be simplified and be made to be miniaturized and lightweight, thereby it is possible to enhance the safety in handling a thin glass substrate and to prevent the glass substrate from being contaminated, and damaged.
