Abstract:
PURPOSE:To precisely join a glass bulb with a member such as a pipe for exhausting at a heating time correspondent to wall thickness by heating the side face while regulating and measuring internal pressure of the glass bulb held with a chuck member and opening a hall and presetting required time via a time measuring means interlocking with change in the internal pressure and simultaneously joining the member to be joined. CONSTITUTION:One end 7a of a glass bulb 7 held with a chuck member 1 is hermetically sealed by an end cap 7b and an end cap 7c fitted with a gas introduction pipe 8 is fitted to the other end and a pressure gauge 3a and a pressure regulation mechanism 2 are arranged in the midway part of the pipe 8 to constitute a pressure measuring means 3. Then the device is started and both a gas burner 4a and a ring burner 4b of a heating mechanism 4 are moved to the vicinity of the lower side face 7d of the bulb and heating is started and simultaneously the internal pressure of the bulb 7 is maintained at the pressure higher than the external pressure via the pressure regulation mechanism 2 and reference frequency generated in a reference frequency generating means 5a is counted with the frequency counting means 5b of a time counting means 5 and counting is stopped together with the decrease of the internal pressure of the bulb 7 due to melting and opening and the following heating time is preset to a time presetting means 5c and on the other hand, a member 9 to be joined is connected via a movable mechanism 6.
