Abstract:
To provide a low dielectric glass cloth having a thickness of 16 μm or less, which has less surface waviness in prepreg coating, is excellent in handleability, has good resin-impregnation property, and can make a resin layer uniform on the front and rear sides of the glass cloth; and to provide a prepreg and a printed wiring board substrate obtained by using the low dielectric glass cloth.SOLUTION: A glass cloth has a thickness of 8 μm or more to 16 μm or less, and is formed by using a glass yarn composed of a plurality of glass filaments as a warp yarn and a weft yarn. An average mass per unit length of the warp yarn is 1.40×10-6 kg/m or more to less than 1.60×10-6 kg/m, and an average mass per unit length of the weft yarn is 1.60×10-6 kg/m or more to 3.00×10-6 kg/m or less. A ratio of the average mass per unit length of the weft yarn to the average mass per unit length of the warp yarn (weft/warp ratio) is greater than 1.20 to 1.50 or less. A density of glass is 2.1 g/cm3 or more to 2.5 g/cm3 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
