PURPOSE: To reduce the change rate of resistance and to improve water resistance by mixing V2O5 with ZnO, B2O3, SiO2, Al2O3 and a specified metal oxide, vitrifying and pulverizing the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: 5-35wt.% V2O5 is mixed with 33-60wt.% ZnO, 3-25wt.% B2O3, 1-15wt.% SiO2, 0-5wt.% Al2O3 and 2-20wt.% one or more kinds of metal oxides selected among MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO and the mixture is melted by heating, vitrified and pulverized to obtain a glass compsn. for coating having ≤600°C softening point and 55-75×10-7/°C coefft. of thermal expansion.
