Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermoplastic polycarbonate resin compsn. which has both a high elastic modulus and a good impact resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. contains 45-5 pts.wt. thermotropic liq. crystalline polyester resin, 40-5 pts.wt. glass fiber and/or glass flake, and 15-90 pts.wt. polycarbonate obtd. by the melt polymn. of an arom. dihydroxy compd. having an equivalent ratio (I)/(II) of phenolic termial groups (I) to nonphenolic terminal groups (II) of 1/19 or higher with a carbonic diester.
