Abstract:

To provide a glass fiber sizing agent in which a general purpose property to a matrix resin of a glass fiber-reinforced resin is high.

A glass fiber sizing agent includes an amphoteric polymer compound, a lubricant, and water, wherein the amphoteric polymer compound has: a cation unit derived from a cationic monomer selected from a group consisting of allylamine and an inorganic acid salt and an organic salt of the allylamine; and an anion unit derived from a dicarboxylate of an α;β position or an α,α position. The glass fiber sizing agent especially includes a copolymer of diallylamine and maleic acid. A glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellet that comprises a glass fiber bulk using the glass fiber sizing agent and a compact are disclosed.
