PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber wound body detection device capable of detecting precisely the presence of a glass fiber wound body during conveying.SOLUTION: A glass fiber wound body detection device 100 detecting the presence of a glass fiber wound body G obtained by winding glass fibers g during conveying comprises: a light projection part 10 for emitting inspection light A to the glass fiber wound body G in a direction crossing a conveyance direction X of the glass fiber wound body G; a light receiving part 20 capable of receiving the inspection light A; and a determination part 30 for determining the presence of the glass fiber wound body G. The determination part 30 determines the presence of the glass fiber wound body G on the basis of a ratio of a light non-receiving region in which the inspection light A is not received to a whole light receiving region 21 in the light receiving part 20, or a ratio of a light receiving region in which the inspection light A is received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
