To provide glass for fluorescent lamp free from the discoloration of the glass to black under the manufacture and having feature equal to or more than that of a conventional soda lime glass, a glass tube for fluorescent lamp comprising the glass and the fluorescent lamp manufactured using the glass tube.

The fluorescent lamp uses the glass tube containing ≤0.1 wt.% each of Sb2O3, PbO and As2O3 and 0.05-10 wt.% TiO2 as an outside surrounding tube.
