Abstract:
The invention discloses a glass, which is capable of forming an electrode that penetrates the insulating film and sufficiently ensures contact with the semiconductor substrate at low cost and high productivity when being used in forming an electrode formed on a semiconductor substrate such as a solar cell through an insulating film, and also discloses a method for manufacturing the glass, a conductive paste including a powder of the glass and capable of forming an electrode that penetrates an insulating film and sufficiently ensures contact with the semiconductor substrate at low cost and high productivity, and a solar cell using the conductive paste to improve reliability and productivity. The invention provides a glass characterized by including, in terms of mol%, 5 to 60% of PbO, 20 to 50% of B2O3, 5 to 30% of SiO2, 3 to 20% of K2O, and 3 to 20 % of CaO, and also provides a method for manufacturing the glass, a conductive paste including a powder of the glass, a conductive metal powder and an organic carrier, and a solar cell characterized by including an electrode formed by using the conductive paste.
