To provide a glass melting furnace which can reduce an NOX content included in an exhaust gas.
The glass melting furnace 1 includes: a raw material charge side exhaust port 3 and a refining chamber side exhaust port 4. The melting furnace 1 further includes: raw material charge side oxygen combustion burners 5 combusting a glass raw material at a low oxygen ratio of ≤1; and refining chamber side oxygen combustion burners 6 combusting the glass raw material at a high oxygen ratio of ≥1. The raw material charge side exhaust port 3 is communicated with a raw material charge side exhaust gas port 7, the refining chamber side exhaust port 4 is communicated with a refining chamber side exhaust gas port 8, the raw material charge side exhaust gas port 7 and the refining chamber side exhaust gas port 8 are each communicated with a flue 9, the flue 9 is provided with equipment feeding a re-burning gas at a position downstream of the mixed position, and, equipment of feeding air is provided at a position more downstream of the mixed position.
