Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate production device capable of precisely dividing a glass sheet on a previously given mark-off line.SOLUTION: A glass plate production device includes a breaking device which breaks a glass sheet on which a mark-off line is previously given extending in a direction crossing a moving direction, along the mark-off line. The breaking device includes: at least a pair of support devices which include support rollers arranged to support the glass sheet and are arranged at an interval in the moving direction of the glass sheet; a glass energizing body which is arranged between the pair of support devices; and a reciprocal driving device which moves the glass energizing body in directions crossing a first plane and a second plane. While the mark-off line is aligned or substantially aligned with the glass energizing body, the reciprocal driving device moves the glass energizing body toward the glass sheet side and the glass energizing body energizes the glass sheet.
