To affix the film to glass with ease and prevent the occurrence of winkles and air bubbles by gluing a winkle preventive film of a specific thickness on the surface of an adverse side to the adhesive layer of a foundation material film.
A winkle preventive film 6 0.05-0.5mm in thickness is adhered separably by an adhesive 5 on adverse side to the adhesive layer 3 of a base material film 2. The adhesion is set such as that the adhesive strength is made lower than that of the adhesive layer 3 to be adhered to glass and, finally, the winkle preventive film 6 is separated therefrom. For such a foundation film 2, there is employed a plastic film that is transparent and has large strength, and a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film is suitable which has a thickness of the order of 50μm. Also, rigid vinyl chloride, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, paper, etc., are used for such a winkle preventive film 6. The adhesive layers 3 and 5 and made of a polyester, acrylic, rubber, silicone group, or the like.
