Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass run in which the basic section of the roof side can be formed in the same shape with the pillar side in which a sheet glass travels.
SOLUTION: A glass run set at the inner peripheral side from the roof side of a window frame 12 to both front and rear sides is provided with a glass holding groove 23 having a basically U-shaped section and also provided with a fitting seat and a fitting flange 22 and applied to the window frame 12 shaped as a bag-form by inner and outer panels 16, 18 of a door and constituted of a glass run body 24 and a backing material 26. The backing material is provided with a backing part 28 and a clip fitted to the fitting hole 30 formed at the fitting seat of the window frame 12. The glass run body 24 is provided with a seal lip 36 and a grip lip 34 and also a glass-guide lip 38 formed so as to cover the external side wall 28c of the backing part 28 at the front end of the external side wall 24c of the car.
