To heighten the product value of a glass sheet to be packed by restraining flaws and adhesion of stains on the surface of the glass sheet as much as possible while the glass sheet is sucked and held by a vacuum means to be stored in a packing storing device.
An air circulation area 2a allowing circulation of air is formed between the surface side and the back side in part of a foam resin sheet 2 by an air circulation area forming means 11, and after the foam resin sheet 2 is placed on the top face of the glass sheet 3, negative pressure is applied to the air circulation area 2a of the foam resin sheet 2 by a vacuum means 4, whereby the foam resin sheet 2 and the glass sheet 3 are sucked and held in a superposition to be transported, and further stored in a box 6 for packing.
