PURPOSE: To make it possible to feed only a required amount of molten glass to a mold without waste, by performing operation to feed the molten glass from a glass melting furnace to a forming mold by a sucking and wholly automatic manner.

CONSTITUTION: Glass is put in a crucible 90 in a heating furnace 88 and melted while heating. A carrier 2 carrying a sequencer 10 is brought near the heating furnace 88 and a molten glass suction mold 50 having a vacuum head is lowered on the surface of the molten glass 96 by control of the sequencer 10. The contact of the tip of the mold 50 with the surface of the molten glass 96 is detected by a level detection means and output to the sequencer 10 which dips the suction mold 50 in the molten glass 96 by a given depth according to the signal thereof. The molten glass 96 is sucked up into the mold 50 by the vacuum head. Glass hung down from the suction hole of the suction mold 50 is cut by a cutting blade 89 and dropped into the crucible 90. The suction mold 50 sucking only a required amount is pulled up from the heating furnace 88 and moved onto a mold to make the molten glass in a given amount flow into the mold.
